Local residents asked the Leader several questions about housing, including repairs and how the Council is addressing overcrowding, how it is tackling anti-social behaviour in the area and supporting residents through the cost-of-living crisis.
Simon Hogg shared what the Council is doing in these areas, including recruiting 20 new Estate Managers to support residents resolve issues faster.
In addition, he shared details of how the Council is providing a safety net for those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis through the largest and most generous support package in London, freezing Council Tax for the third year in a row and ensuring Wandsworth residents pay the lowest Council Tax in the country.
He also added that Wandsworth has Britain’s best concession scheme, known as Access for All, which offers eligible residents 100% to 50% discounts on almost all chargeable Council services, as well as local activities, making sure these are affordable for everyone.

Simon Hogg said: “It is so important that we listen to local residents and hear their personal experiences to understand how we can do better and improve how we are delivering our services.
“This is my local ward and I feel passionately about addressing all the topics raised with me. Thank you for those who attended, and for everyone else, please do keep an eye out for news on when the community drop-in is next coming to your ward and I hope to meet you then.”
The event, held at York Gardens Library, was the latest in a series of monthly community drop-ins across the borough.
Residents are invited to discuss important topics, receive direct advice and support, learn more about Council services and plans for their local area, and share ideas for neighbourhood improvements.
Along with the Council Leader, you may also be able to talk to your Ward Councillors and local MP, as well as representatives from Citizens Advice, Community Safety, and various other services over hot drinks and refreshments.
