Wandsworth Community Safety Partnership

The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 places a responsibility on the Police and the Council to work together alongside other key partners to reduce crime and disorder in their areas. Wandsworth had long recognised the benefits of this working relationship and has been working with local Police since 1987.

Our Community Safety Partnership (CSP)* is made up of representatives of the following organisations:

  • Wandsworth Borough Council
  • Metropolitan Police Service - Wandsworth Borough Command Unit
  • Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime
  • Wandsworth Primary Care Trust
  • London Fire Brigade
  • Probation Services

They work together and co-operate with a number of local public and private sector organisations including:

  • Battersea Crime Prevention Panel
  • Crown Prosecution Service
  • Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)
  • Environment Agency
  • Governing Bodies of Further Education (FE)¬†Institutions

The partnership plan

The CSP has a Strategy Group made up of senior officers from each of the partners, which meets on a quarterly basis, to review and monitor the performance of the Partnership against the Community Safety Partnership Plan 2017-2021.
