Support for adult education providers
The Adult and Community Learning team work with over 50 organisations (including primary and secondary schools) to provide a wide variety of learning opportunities for all age ranges. This is delivered at locations across the whole borough.
Planning for adult and community education is led by Wandsworth Council Children's Services department in close consultation with the Skills Funding Agency and the Lifelong Learning Development Group. The Council and Group consist of partners from a range of organisations including:
- Further education
- Higher education
- Jobcentre Plus
- Community and voluntary groups
- Other council departments
There are four main providers of Adult Education in Wandsworth:
- South Thames College
- Putney School of Art and Design (Enable Leisure & Culture website)
- Southfields Community College (Aspire Centre)
- Wandsworth libraries
We also work with a number of smaller training providers and voluntary sector organisations. Contact us if you are interested in applying for funding to deliver courses.
The Family Learning team works with over 30 primary and secondary schools, providing a wide variety of family learning opportunities.

Widening Participation Fund
We also offer support to organisations who want to offer programmes to priority groups of learners through the Widening Participation Fund.
The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of education and training, and help people to identify and widen their interests in adult learning as part of our Lifelong Learning strategy.
