Climate Conversations

As a council, we are committed to tackling climate change and know we need the involvement of the whole Wandsworth community to help us reach our targets. Through our Wandsworth Climate Conversations programme, we aim to help open up meaningful conversation about our feelings around climate change, and enable our communities to take action.

This is a series designed to bring together residents and anyone from across the borough who is interested in learning more about the important topics and help us to reduce the borough’s emissions.

Climate Conversations are a place for discussion, learning, collaboration and advice sharing.

Host your own Climate Conversation - Downloadable pack

We have put together a resource pack to help people explore issues around climate change.

The pack contains everything you need to hold your own Climate Conversation with your friends, family, and networks including information and activities. “The most important thing you can do to fight climate change: talk about it” – Katharine Hayhoe.

Find out the meaning of key terms around climate change such as the greenhouse effect and global warming, see a list of key topic areas to discuss, such as transport, homes and energy, waste and air quality, and get ideas for activities such as a quiz or game. There is also a list of useful resources including weblinks, videos, and books.

If you are a local community group get in touch if you would like our dedicated climate change team to deliver a bespoke climate conversation with your group. Contact us by email at climateconversations@wandsworth.gov.uk.
