Find out about sheltered housing
Published: Thursday, July 25, 2019
People interested in sheltered housing are invited to an open day next month.
Wandsworth residents who are over 55 or who have care needs can go along to see what a sheltered scheme is like and ask questions. Tea and cake will be provided.
Council staff will also be giving out advice on how people can remain living independently in their own home, including information on personal alarm schemes like WATCH and Telecare.
Other organisations going along on the day include the police Safer Neighbourhood team, Age UK, Wandsworth Carers, Wandsworth Community Transport and Sure Care.
Wandsworth has 24 sheltered housing schemes, each with an alarm service and on-site sheltered housing officer. Pets are welcome.
Where: Grosse Way Clubroom, SW15 5DQ
When: Friday August 9, 12noon-3pm
No need to book – just turn up.
