Activities, advice and support are all available to find in one place on the Wandsworth Family Information Service website, to make it easier for young people and their families to access and includes an interactive map to see what is on near to you.

The fun includes sport, arts and crafts, cooking, drama, music, trips out, summer schemes and much more.

There are things to do for all Wandsworth children, whatever their background. The programme also includes the free Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme providing targeted support, including a free lunch, for children on free school meals.

Activities take place at venues all over the borough, including local playschemes, parks, children’s centres, playgrounds, youth clubs, libraries, and community centres. Most activities will be free or low cost to help families struggling financially.

Families looking for advice and support will also benefit from Get Connected Hubs - new for this summer. Events will take place weekly on Tuesdays in Roehampton (starting from July 26) on Wednesdays in Tooting (from July 27) and on Thursdays in Battersea (from July 28). You can drop in and connect with local community and voluntary sector organisations. Local organisations, advisors and council officers will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice on early years, SEND, work and education, parenting and family, housing and finance, volunteering, and keeping young people safe.

Cabinet member for children Cllr Kate Stock said: “The pandemic has been especially tough on young people. We want to give them a chance to learn new skills, build up their self-confidence and emotional resilience, but most importantly have fun!”

“We’ve made it as easy as possible to find activities with an interactive map, and lots more information on our Family Information Service website to ensure it is the best summer for families in Wandsworth”

Find out more and book your place. More activities will be added as the summer progresses, so keep checking in.
