New vaccination centre opens at Queen Mary’s Hospital Roehampton

A new vaccination centre has opened at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton.
Wandsworth Council's cabinet member for adult social care and health, Cllr Clare Salier, said: “The vaccination rollout continues and it is great news that nearly 80,000 Wandsworth residents have now received the vaccine. The opening of Queen Mary’s Hospital as a vaccination site is another step in ensuring that we get more of our residents vaccinated.
“The vaccination is the best defence against coronavirus, and it is never too late to take up the offer of a vaccine. I would urge anyone eligible who has yet to do so to come forward and book a jab to protect yourself and others.”
Those aged 55 or over who have not yet received their vaccination are urged to contact the NHS and book an appointment.
It is important that only those that have received their NHS vaccination invite attend the centre.
The booking service can be accessed at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination.
Those who cannot go online can call 119 free of charge.
