The famous Battersea Ball now celebrating its 30th year

The ball, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, will be held in Battersea Park on November 25 and is a fantastic black-tie event organised by the Battersea Crime Prevention Panel.

Over the last 30 years the panel has raised more than £1m which has been used to help make Battersea a better place to live, work and play.

This includes funding the panel’s hugely popular and successful Summer Scheme which was first staged in 1992, and provides young people with constructive, interesting and worthwhile activities during the school summer break.

As well as providing safe activities to keep young people occupied and engaged - and also prevent them from becoming involved with, or victims of, crime – The Summer Scheme also provides a welcome lifeline to families on lower incomes who are unable to afford more costly leisure activities for their children.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘New York New York - the Big Apple comes to Battersea’ – and along with the dancing and cabaret – the evening will also host a live auction, silent auction, casino table, dodgems and the event's famous Magic Tree - as well as a chance to win £500!

Tickets cost £70 and include pre-dinner canapés, a delicious three course dinner, coffee and chocolates. To find out more information and to purchase tickets please visit www.batterseaball.org.uk or email ball@bcpp.co.uk

Businesses in the area can support the event by donating a prize or sponsoring part of the evening.
