Hundreds come to Brighter Living Fair
Published: Friday, September 27, 2019
Around 250 residents went along to last week’s Brighter Living Fair to find out about local services for people with care and support needs
The Wandsworth Civic Suite was packed with attendees visiting, plus representatives of over 50 organisations who ran stalls giving out information and advice and held taster sessions in art, dance and more. The Baked Bean Company and the Tenovus Cancer Care choir entertained and there was food available all day in the free café.
Cabinet member for health and social care Cllr Melanie Hampton said: “Thanks to everyone who came along and to all the stallholders and organisations that took part that helped make the event such a success.
“We put a lot of people in touch with services that can help them, and we know people enjoyed the taster sessions and events during the day. I look forward to an even bigger and better event next year.”
