Consultation on Council expenditure plans

The Council has a duty under Section 65 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 to consult with ratepayers’ representatives on its service expenditure proposals, including capital, for the next financial year. The revised view of the Council’s revenue requirement, together with supporting detail in the budget reports being considered by individual service committees in the course of the January 2021 cycle of meetings and the updated capital programme are put forward for consultation in order that the views of the representatives of ratepayers may be taken into account when final decisions on service provision are taken at the beginning of March 2021.

Comments should be addressed to the Director of Resources at financeconsultation@wandsworth.gov.uk and be received by Thursday 4 February 2021 in order to be incorporated into the budget report.

Coronavirus Survey for Businesses

The Council would like to understand how COVID-19 may be impacting businesses and self-employed individuals in the borough. We want to hear from you about the support you need in the short, medium and long term, so please complete this form to let us know how this challenge is affecting your business.

Budget consultation with local businesses

We wish to continue our regular consultation with the local business community about our budget plans for future years. The budget report provides an overview of these plans and we invite views to be taken into account when decisions are made on Council Tax for 2020/21 and budgets for future years.

Comments should be addressed to the Director of Resources at financeconsultation@wandsworth.gov.uk.

The deadline for responses on the Council’s budget plans was Friday 7 February 2020.

Wandsworth Business Survey 2018

Our 2018 business survey explores business performance, challenges, confidence and support needs.

The research was commissioned by the council's Economic Development Office to learn more about our business community and inform services that relate to business. We appointed Facts International to undertake this research for us.

300 businesses in Wandsworth were interviewed during February and March 2018 using an industry standard Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing (CATI) approach. This was supplemented by a small number of in-depth interviews to explore key points. The sample was designed to reflect the balance of enterprise sizes and sectors in the borough as closely as practical.
