Applying for approval

To hold a wedding or civil partnership ceremony at premises in Wandsworth, the venue must be approved by the local authority.

Before you start

You must be the proprietor or a trustee of the premises to apply for permission to hold civil ceremonies or weddings.

Fee

For the standard licence, which is issued for a period of 3 years, the fee of £859.10 is payable.

From 2019 venues may opt for a longer 5 year licence for which the fee of £1,430 is payable. This may be suitable for venues who anticipate offering ceremonies under existing licence conditions for a longer period. Please be advised however that any changes, such as the addition of a new room, would require a new licence application and fee.

Fees increase on 1 April.
