Our regeneration projects

Below are a few of the recent regeneration projects affecting the borough.

Nine Elms on the South Bank

Nine Elms on the South Bank is central London's biggest regeneration area.

A multi billion pound investment programme is now transforming this largely industrial district into a brand new residential and business quarter. 

Winstanley and York Road estates 

We are committed to major investment in the Winstanley and York Road estates. A public procurement process has started to select a private sector partner to assist us in delivering the exciting regeneration of these two estates.

Since the summer of 2013, we have worked closely with local people to develop ideas for how the area could be improved. A specialist masterplanning team was appointed to work with the council and the community in creating these new development proposals.

The team included property consultants GVA and architects Levitt Bernstein, who will continue to lead the council through the selection process of finding a development partner.

We have committed to major investment in Roehampton, focussing on both the physical environment and the opportunities available to local people.

The Alton Area Masterplan, a main component of the regeneration programme, was approved by the council in 2014 and provides a vision for how the Alton area in Roehampton could change and develop over coming years.

Building on the improvements to Southside shopping complex and a new town centre library, plans have been proposed for a redevelopment of the listed Ram Brewery.

Plans include homes, a residential landmark tower, shops and cafes.
