Reducing heating and energy costs
Steps you can take to reduce your energy costs include:
- Keeping your heating at 17c
- Turning devices off rather than leaving them on standby. This could save you £80 per year
- Switching to LED light bulbs
- Using radiator reflectors
- Adding draught excluders to windows and the bottom of doors
- Using your washing machine during the low cost energy rate hours, between 10pm and 8am. You should check your energy provider information and be considerate to your neighbours if using the washing machine late at night
Eligible households are being provided with warm packs. The warm packs are in high demand so there may not be a constant stock at the following venues:
- Wandsworth Town Hall reception
- Battersea Library
- Tooting Library
