Tell us you are moving out of the borough

If you are moving out of the borough we will close your Council Tax account and send you a final bill.

Before you start

This process is for closing your Council Tax account with us. 

Your details on the electoral register will not be updated, and you must ensure you do this separately. Visit GOV.UK to register to vote at your new address.

This form is for new owners or tenants only. Landlords and managing agents should complete the change of tenant form.

You will need 

Ensure you have the following details ready: 

  • Address details
  • Completion date/tenancy end date
  • Moving dates
  • New owner/tenant details

You can log in to your Wandsworth Account and tell us you are moving, or just tell us you are moving out.

What happens next 

Once you have submitted the form you will receive an email confirmation. 

The Council Tax team will close your account and send you a final bill.
