Brighter Living Fair 2022
The Brighter Living Fair is an event for adults looking for care and support services in Wandsworth, that promotes healthy, safe and independent lifestyles.
This year’s fair will once again be a festival of events. We are working with local organisations to put on lots of small events between Saturday 1 and Monday 10 October 2022, to coincide with International Older People’s Day and celebrate five ways to wellbeing: to connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and to give.
Events
The events for the Brighter Living Fair 2022 will be themed around:
- Learning and using technology
- Staying independent within the community
All the events and activities over the ten days are free to take part in, but we do recommend that where required by the event host that you pre-book a place to avoid disappointment.

Silver Sunday
Our Silver Sunday tea dance returns this year, taking place on Sunday 2 October 2022 at the Civic Suite, Wandsworth. The event provides the opportunity to take part in art and craft workshops and meet local organisations that provide support services for adults and carers. Apply for funding to host an event
Local organisations working with adults across the borough can receive up to £250 to help host their own celebrations on one or two of the ten days. Funds will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with consideration given to an even spread of events across the borough.
You will need to outline what you plan to do to celebrate International Older People’s Day and how these celebrations will promote independence and/or support the use of technology.
