About New Covent Garden Market - Green Plaque site

This plaque commemorates the longevity and scale of the market in Battersea.

The plaque was awarded by the Heritage Wandsworth Committee, but funded by New Covent Garden. It was erected in December 2025 and unveiled in January 2026.

There are two plaques, one located at the entrance to the flower market on Nine Elms Lane, and one outside the new Buyers’ Walk in the fruit and vegetable market.
