About Tooting Bec Asylum - Green Plaque site

This green plaque remembers the thousands of people - patients and staff - who lived and worked at Tooting Bec Asylum/Hospital between 1903 and 1995. The hospital stood on the site of the Heritage Park Estate, Tooting Bec Road. 

This plaque was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Wandsworth's London Borough of Culture year.

Location: Heritage Park, at the junction of Tooting Bec Road and Franciscan Road, SW17 6AT
