Available grants for the community and voluntary sector

Community and voluntary groups provide many beneficial services and activities to residents across the borough. The Council has a number of different funds which the sector can make application to. These are linked to our strategic objectives and priorities.

Wandsworth Grant Fund

The Wandsworth Grant Fund (WGF) is a small grant fund for projects and activities benefiting residents and communities of the London Borough of Wandsworth. Grants of between £500 to 10,000 are available. There are three funding rounds each year.

Wandsworth Arts Fringe

The Wandsworth Arts Fringe (WAF) is supported from the Wandsworth Grant Fund. The WAF Grant Fund supports activities and events that will take place as part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe in May each year. Grants of up to £2,000 are available.

Resident Small Improvement Grants for housing estates

Small improvement grants for housing estates. Our Small Improvement Budget (SIB) gives grants to residents to make improvements to their estate or block which will benefit the community. These are for projects which you think are important and would not normally be funded by other budgets.

Active Wandsworth Grant Fund

The Active Community Grant Fund is managed by our partner Enable Leisure & Culture.

The Fund covers three distinct areas of financial support:

  • If you are a sports club or an organisation delivering sport and physical activity opportunities, we maybe able to help you with up to £3,000 available
  • If you are an individual looking for support to attend a regional or national competition, we could help with accommodation and travel costs of up to £500
  • If you are a sports coach or instructor looking to further your coaching skills, we offer a bursary scheme up to £500

Climate action microgrants

Our Climate action microgrants will award between £100 and £500 to community groups, schools, individuals or non-profits to run events, activities and initiatives that promote positive behaviours in the community around climate change and sustainability.
