Trustee Induction and an Introduction to Charity Governance
- Date: Thursday 26 February 2026
- Time: 3.30 to 6.30pm
- Location: Online - MS Teams with Howard Exton-Smith
As a Trustee, an appreciation of your legal duties and responsibilities, including an understanding of financial management, public benefit, accountability, and best interests is essential in carrying out your role and exercising “good” organisational governance. This interactive training course will provide you with increased knowledge and confidence, and a greater ability to review and assess information, improving your ability to monitor activities and resources, articulate impact and make better decisions.
Fundraising: What Trustees Need to Know
- Date: Wednesday 25 March 2026
- Time: 12 to 1.30pm
- Location: Online - Zoom with Leah Selinger
Trustees are increasingly required to play an active role in ensuring their charity’s fundraising activities are conducted appropriately, ethically and in line with the guidance available. But more than just ‘ticking the boxes’ – trustees have a duty to understand their charity’s income mix and how it will sustain their provision beyond this financial year.
This session will provide participants with the knowledge and tools to support and enable their organisation to fundraise effectively and sustainably and take an active role in supporting their organisation to do so.
We will consider different types of income generation, and what might be right for individual organisations based on their resources, and their requirements.
