Our ambition to meet the needs of children with SEND within the borough is one step closer as planning permission is granted for the new Paddock Secondary School site.

Paddock is an existing, Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ school in Wandsworth for children with severe learning difficulties, and this expansion onto a new site means that more children will benefit from being closer to friends and family as they learn in a purpose-built environment.
Councillor Kate Stock, cabinet member for children, expressed appreciation for the support received throughout the planning process. “It is our ambition to meet the needs of children in their local area, and this development is a significant step towards increasing our local education provision for children with SEND. We are grateful for the support we have received from both residents and stakeholders”.
Willmott Dixon have been appointed as the contractor for the project and the council looks forward to starting on site in the coming months. We anticipate welcoming the first cohort of students to the new site in the 2025/26 academic year. Updates on the project will be available on the Wandsworth Council website and via the usual communication channels.
