Residents and businesses warned of travel disruption in Battersea and Nine Elms this Saturday

The National March for Palestine is scheduled to take place in London on Saturday 11 November starting at Hyde Park and ending in Nine Elms. There will be a large number of road closures and high levels of congestion before, during and after the march.

Up to 100,000 marchers are expected to travel the route, which will come across Vauxhall Bridge and head towards the US Embassy on Nine Elms Lane.
Large numbers of people are expected to be in the area from 12.30pm onwards and to remain until around 5pm.
An extensive policing operation is in place to facilitate and manage the event. You can expect a large number of road closures, and high levels of congestion before during and after the march.
What you should do
- Carefully consider your plans in and around the North Battersea/Nine Elms area on Saturday and the impact the march may have
- consider the impact on your usual activities in Battersea Park, particularly after 1pm
- sign up for TfL Travel alerts so you have the very latest information on travel disruption.
What roads are particularly affected?
We expect marchers to disperse through Battersea Park, along Wandsworth Road, Parry Street, South Lambeth Road, Queenstown Road, and up across Chelsea Bridge. All these routes, and side roads along these routes may be closed, and will be congested and/or severely disrupted.
What is the impact on public transport?
Vauxhall Underground Station will be closed from 1.30pm until the march has dispersed.
We expect bus diversions all along the route and significant additional congestion at the following:
- Vauxhall train and bus station
- Battersea Power Station, Nine Elms, Clapham Common and Clapham North on the Northern Line
- Clapham Junction station
- Queenstown Road and Battersea Park National Rail stations
- Sloane Square station (District and Circle line)
