We're making Wandsworth an even better place to live
From the Leader of the Council
I hope you will agree with me that Wandsworth is a fantastic place to live.
We are lucky to live by the Thames with plenty of open parks and spaces. We are fortunate to have great schools and a relatively low crime rate.
As your Council leader, my job is to do everything possible to maintain and improve the quality of life in Wandsworth. It is a huge privilege and responsibility.
These web pages show the work that your council is doing day in day out to live up to that responsibility.
Our ambitions start from the moment someone is born Wandsworth, by ensuring that people have access to the best nursery and school provision, right through to tackling issues like social isolation for older people living on their own.
As well as keeping your Council Tax bill low and your streets clean and safe, we are also here to give people a helping hand. Whether it is helping a child struggling to keep up at school, or helping a young person find a home that is right for them. Whether it is supporting families overcome problems or giving people the skills and confidence that they need to secure a job, we are working hard to make sure that everyone gets the most out of living in Wandsworth.
