Give consent for use of your image or audio
If you are involved in a project we may request your permission to use your image and/or audio.
Consent for a child under 12
We take the issue of child safety very seriously. This includes the use of images of pupils of borough schools and residents under the age of 18 years old.
In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), from the age of 12, a child is considered mature and able enough to understand the consent given.
If the child is aged under 12 then their parent or guardian will need to give consent on their behalf.
Looking after your data
Once you have provided your consent your images will be held in accordance with:
- UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Our Retention and Disposal Schedule, unless you withdraw your consent
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing the project contact you named in your form.
If the photograph, video or audio has already been used then we will not be able to recall all documents or recordings in which your image or voice has appeared. However, we will delete your image or voice from our database and will go to all reasonable efforts to stop using the image in future.
