Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. Almost 43,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK and around 268,000 people living in the UK today, have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Nine out of every 5,000 people who use their test kit turn out to have cancer but if it’s spotted early, the chances of recovering from bowel cancer are much higher.
The test can be done in the comfort of your home and only requires a tiny sample of stool to test for signs of cancer.
Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early, however this drops significantly as the disease develops.
If you've received your bowel cancer testing kit, please use it and if not, keep an eye out for it in the post. Early diagnosis really does save lives.
