Dive into family swim, discover a new sport, or take part in a group fitness class - this is the perfect opportunity to try new activities, meet other local families, and embrace a healthier lifestyle.
We’re working with our partners to deliver these free activities as part of our Wandsworth Moves Together leisure strategy. Through this, we’re taking bold action to help more of our residents get active every day.
We also want to encourage more people to take advantage of our ambitious Access for All scheme. Eligible residents can enjoy many of Wandsworth’s leisure spaces for free or at a discount.
Judi Gasser, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “The Wandsworth Wellness Weekender is all about encouraging more families to get active.
“There are lots of ways residents can move more in our fantastic leisure centres and parks, and we’re proud to be making these spaces available to more people through our Wandsworth Moves Together strategy.
"Please gather your friends and family and sign up for as many sessions as you can. We look forward to seeing you there!”
Free five-day pass
As part of the Wandsworth Wellness Weekender, residents can also get a free five-day pass for participating leisure and sports centres in the borough. This will include free access to the gym, swimming and classes at participating venues during the five-day period. Participating venues include all leisure centres and sports centres (with the exception of Barn Elms Boathouse, Falcon Park and Furzedown Recreation Centre).
To redeem this, all you need to do is head into your local centre on Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 March and talk to a member of staff at reception. This offer is only open to Wandsworth residents so please remember to bring proof of address, such as a bank statement or utility bill from the past three months.
