Wandsworth’s new bin brings neighbourhood pride

We want everyone to have pride in their neighbourhood. We’re replacing old and broken bins across Wandsworth to keep areas clean, tidy and welcoming. On Friday, we were in Tooting delivering on that promise.

Judi Gasser, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “New bins like this in Tooting help keep high streets and local areas looking their best.

"We know cleaner streets are a big priority for residents. As a listening Council, we’re taking bold action through our Cleaner Borough Plan.

“Every household is now being offered two free bulky waste collections a year – saving residents £47. We’re also expanding our much-loved Mega Skip Days and maintaining weekly waste and recycling collections. We’re doing all this while keeping the lowest Council Tax in the country.”
