You can find out more about the day at borough libraries, which will have displays of books plus posters, stickers and booklets from the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.
Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) takes place every year on January 27 - the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest of the many Nazi death camps.
It was established in 2000 by representatives from around the world, who signed a declaration committing to preserve the memory of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust alongside the millions of people murdered under Nazi persecution of other groups and during more recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
