Since opening in 2015, Go Ape in Battersea Park has welcomed over 700,000 visitors, created local jobs and invested over £1 million in improving the park. The attraction also supports the council’s Access for All scheme, offering discounts for eligible residents and providing 1,400 free tickets each year to children, young people, and voluntary groups.

Go Ape has committed to delivering even more for Wandsworth residents over the next decade:

  • £10,000 donation to Wandsworth’s London Borough of Culture programme, with further contributions to support its legacy
  • Continued provision of 1,400 free tickets annually for the local community
  • Access for All discount increased from 20% to 50% for eligible residents
  • Partnership with Wandsworth Work Match to promote local employment opportunities to Wandsworth residents
  • New activities for visitors coming in the future

Paul White, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “I’m delighted that the future of our famous treetop ropes courses has been secured for another 10 years.

“This means residents can continue enjoying outdoor adventures that boost physical health and wellbeing, a key objective in our Wandsworth Moves Together strategy.

“By increasing discounts through our Access for All scheme, Go Ape is also helping make Wandsworth a fairer borough for everyone.”

The new contract supports Wandsworth’s Year of Play, a bold commitment to ensuring everyone has equal opportunity to play by creating inclusive, high-quality play opportunities across the borough.
