Residents are invited to comment online and can find out more at a drop-in session at the site on July 21 from noon-3pm.
All residents would be able to use the park which will be created in the green space that currently forms part of the Brocklebank Estate.
The pocket park would include space to play as well as a new path, sustainable planting, benches and bins. The boundary would be changed to give better views in and out of the park. There will be secure entrances with self-closing gates and secure access for surrounding homes would be maintained.
There are three different options for what the park could contain and how it could look. Details can be viewed on the consultation page. Please let the council know which you prefer.
Cabinet member for Environment Judi Gasser said: “We aim to create a place where children can play and people can relax, but we want to ensure a new park reflects the needs of local people so please share your thoughts.”
