The Wandsworth Civic Awards give the council and local residents a chance to honour and thank unsung heroes who work tirelessly to help their neighbours and their community – often without any recognition.
This could be someone who volunteers for a local charity or group, works to improve the environment or just keeps an eye on vulnerable members of their community.
This year the borough’ first-ever Youth Mayor will present a special award for children and young people under the age of 25 who have made a positive contribution to Wandsworth.
This could include someone who has given up their time to volunteer, performed an act of bravery or fought to tackle climate change.
Mayor of Wandsworth Sana Jaffri said: "We want to celebrate what makes Wandsworth such a warm, welcoming, inclusive borough – its incredible people. Tell us about your local heroes so we can give them the recognition they deserve.”
Nominations can be made quickly and easily online. The deadline to nominate is September 6.
