Tooting residents and contributors to last December’s community engagement are invited to join an online feedback and Q&A session on Monday 7 July, 6.30pm to 7.30pm, to explore the main areas of feedback and next steps for the future of the Tooting Triangle site on Tooting Common.

As a Listening Council, we’ve heard you when you told us that the Triangle is a valued community space, but faces challenges, with ageing buildings and ongoing maintenance issues. We’re working with the community to find a way forward. The feedback session will give you a chance to hear what people told us in December and hear from Council officers about the next steps from the autumn onwards. The event is open to anyone interested, especially those who took part in the engagement back in December.

What is the Tooting Triangle?

The Tooting Triangle sits on the northern edge of Tooting Common. It has a range of facilities alongside open green space, including a hard surface multi‑sport pitch, an outdoor playground, and two buildings home to Balham Boxing Club and the former One O’Clock Club.

The Triangle is a well‑used community space for families, sports clubs, dog walkers and Tooting residents. While loved for its openness and accessibility, parts of it have fallen into disrepair and is prone to flooding.

Our Triangle Time

In December 2024, we hosted Our Triangle Time, an eight-day creative engagement event designed to gather views on how the Tooting Triangle should develop in the future.

Over 200 people took part, from local families to users of the boxing club, football clubs, dog walkers, and regular visitors to Tooting Common. Through creative activities, conversations, and drop-in sessions, more than 400 pieces of feedback were gathered, offering a rich picture of how people use the space and what you value most.

Join the online session to hear the results of Our Triangle Time

If you attended Our Triangle Time, or simply care about the future of the Triangle, this is your chance to hear how your views have helped shape thinking so far and what comes next.

The online event takes place on Monday 7 July. Participants can register to attend on Microsoft Teams:
