The Civic Awards 2025

From quiet acts of kindness to extraordinary achievements, the Wandsworth Civic Awards recognise individuals who have made a real and lasting difference in their communities.

This year’s awards will once again honour outstanding members of our community across six categories:

  • Community Champion
  • Environmental Hero
  • Bravery Award
  • Charity Champion
  • Cultural Champion
  • Young Person of the Year

Whether it’s a neighbour who always goes the extra mile, a volunteer transforming local green spaces, or a young person inspiring others, now is the time to make sure their efforts are recognised.

Nominate yourself or someone you know

The Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Owens, said: “These awards are about celebrating the people who embody the very best of our borough. Time and again, residents step up to support others, strengthen communities and create positive change.

“The Civic Awards give us the opportunity to say thank you and highlight the incredible impact individuals can have.”

How do I nominate someone?

Nominations close on 27 July 2026, with winners due to be honoured at a special ceremony in November.

You can find everything you need to submit a nomination, including category details, on the Civic Awards website

Businesses across the borough are also encouraged to get involved by sponsoring the awards. Supporting the scheme offers a chance to connect your organisation with inspiring local stories, while benefiting from borough-wide recognition and media coverage.
