The competition was held throughout August and was judged by Wandsworth officers and councillors.

Now in its second year, the competition had impressive participation and the judges were blown away by the quality of the entries, with residents showcasing their gardening skills across three categories: Best Private/Remote Garden, Best Balcony/Container Garden and Best Community Garden.

The deserving winners were invited to a breakfast and prize-giving ceremony in the Mayor’s Parlour. The event was a great success, and we extend our congratulations to all winners and thank everyone who entered!

Councillor Aydin Dikerdem, Cabinet Member for Housing, said:

“The Gardening Competition is one of my favourite events of the year and it’s an honour to take part as a judge. The standard of entries this year was very high and we would like to thank everyone that took part. It's inspiring to see residents take pride in growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs, adding beauty to the community.”
