Wandsworth Council is committed to creating a community where everyone can live well, age well, and feel supported. We want to better understand how much our residents know about dementia: its signs, risk factors, and ways to reduce risk.
We’re inviting residents to take part in the Dementia Awareness Measure (DAM 2025) survey, which will help shape local efforts to improve understanding and awareness of support around dementia in 2025 and beyond.
Graeme Henderson, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Safety, said:
“Raising awareness and understanding of dementia is vital to building a compassionate, informed community. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping us identify where more support and information are needed, so that everyone in Wandsworth can live well at every stage of life.”
The survey includes questions about dementia risk factors, signs and symptoms, and general awareness, as well as demographic information and hearing health. The findings will help the Council and its health partners identify areas where awareness can be strengthened and be better tailored to residents’ needs.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is open until 15 December 2025.
