It is important that new homes are built to fit the needs of residents. We have already finished work at two Supported Housing developments in Putney Vale and Tooting and have two more in the pipeline.

Our Homes for Wandsworth programme is delivering homes to suit a range of needs. This includes homes for older people, as well as people with additional needs.

We are proud to have been recognised as a case study by a leading network of housing, health and social care professionals. The Housing Learning and Improvement Network (LIN) shares knowledge and resources across England, Scotland and Wales to celebrate and learn from examples of innovative housing.

Aydin Dikerdem, Cabinet Member for Housing, said:

“A decent home is the foundation of a decent life. That is why it is essential that we build a variety of homes that suit the diverse needs of our residents. Homes like these make a real difference to people’s lives, enabling them to live independently with the support that they need.

“We are proud of the unique work that we are doing to lead the way in building exceptional homes as standard.”

Stag House and Colson Way are both specialist housing developments designed for specific needs but these principles are carried throughout the Homes for Wandsworth programme.

Residents at Stag House and Colson Way have told us that they are happier and that their mental health has improved since moving into their new homes.

All our homes are built to be inclusive, adaptable or accessible and futureproofed to ensure homes are comfortable and convenient for all residents now and in the future.
