Groups are invited to Supporting VCS: Shaping the Future Vision on October 26. The free event will look at how the relationship with the council and the Voluntary sector can be further strengthened and consider the impact of the cost of living crisis as it relates to the voluntary and community sector.
“Wandsworth has a thriving voluntary sector with a lot of people doing some very good work. They are at the heart of their communities and really understand local needs,” said deputy leader of Wandsworth Council Cllr Kemi Akinola (pictured right), who will be speaking at the event.
“Now we want to look at how we can build on this strength in the sector and how we can all work better together to help local people through these difficult times. We are commissioning an independent analysis of the sector and its needs, and the input from this meeting will help shape our shared future.”
The event will include keynote speakers, a chance to meet council teams and other VCS organisations and a free networking lunch.
Shaping the Future Vision is on Wednesday October 26, 12.30pm-4.30pm in the Wandsworth Civic Suite. It is free to attend.
