Planning system changes
We are upgrading our system between Friday 11 September and Friday 25 September, and some services will be unavailable whilst we complete the work.

Applications can be submitted through the Planning Portal, but they will not be processed during this period.

The Business Register Employment Survey (BRES) replaces the Business Register Survey and the Annual Business Inquiry. The Office for National Statistics uses the BRES to produce annual employment statistics which are published on the NOMIS website.
The BRES uses previous ABI Part 1 data recalculated using the BRES methodology to provide estimates back until 2008. For more detailed historic data please refer to the 2009 ABI which presents trend data from 1999 to 2008.
All BRES and ABI data is subject to Crown Copyright.
