Changes to the planning system
We are currently upgrading our planning system, and some services are unavailable whilst the work is being carried out.
Work is due to be completed by Friday 25 September 2026.
The following services are affected:
Planning
Applications can be submitted through the Planning Portal, but they will not be processed during this period.
You will be unable to use the online comments facility. You can still submit comments on planning applications by emailing planning@wandsworth.gov.uk.
All comments received will be considered by the case officer as part of the planning decision-making process. Comments submitted by email during the freeze period will not be published or available for public view on our website.
Normal arrangements for submitting and viewing comments will resume on Monday 28 September.
Planning enforcement
There may be a small delay to our usual service standards while we upgrade our software.
You can continue to use our online form if you wish to report a breach of planning control during this time.
Planning appeals
Planning appeal processing will be temporarily suspended.
Any enquiries relating to appeals should continue to be sent to planningappeals@wandsworth.gov.uk.
Building Control
Applications submitted will not be processed until Friday 25 September. Deadlines will be extended accordingly.
Site visits can be requested and will be processed as normal.
Local land charges
You cannot request a local land charges search, and requests will not be processed during this period.
Trees
You cannot comment on an application for tree works to trees subject to a Tree Preservation Order, or Section 211 notices for trees in conservation areas.
Applications can be submitted through the Planning Portal, but they will not be processed during this period.
