Implementation process and phases
Phase 1
The following School Streets were developed in Phase 1. Further information on each School Street is available via the links in the table below.

The schemes were approved to be trialled (Paper no. 19-158) and following a review of feedback and operation, were approved to be made permanent (Paper no. 21-236) at the Strategic Planning and Transportation Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Phase 2
The following School Streets were developed in Phase 2. These schemes were accelerated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased demand for safer spaces to support the return to school, as reported to the Strategic Planning and Transportation Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Paper no. 20 -169 and Paper no. 20-291). Phase 3

We are also preparing to reconsult the public on an amended scheme to serve Swaffield Primary School.
Proposals for Ark John Archer and Finton House are not being progressed at this stage.
Phase 5

The schemes were launched as trials under an experimental traffic order. Consultations have been reopened for six months allowing representation to be made while the scheme is live. The schemes will be monitored and reported to the Transport Committee and a decision will be made on whether to make the School Streets permanent, remove it or make amendments.
Planned schemes to serve Oasis Academy and Hornsby House School are currently suspended. Proposals for St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and Swaffield Primary are not being progressed at this stage.
