Please don't put batteries in your rubbish or recycling, as they can cause fires.

Safe disposal

All retailers must provide free recycling collection points for used batteries if they sell over 32kg of batteries each year (roughly equivalent to one pack of 4 AA batteries per day).

Find your local battery recycling points, or take batteries to:

• A local library
• A local leisure centre
• The council's Customer Centre, Wandsworth High Street
• Battersea Park office
• Wandsworth Common office 
• Wilditch Community Centre office
• Household Waste and Recycling Centre, Smugglers Way
