There are several ways you can dispose of your kitchen knives.

Smugglers Way

You can take kitchen knives to Smugglers Way household waste and recycling centre. They can be recycled in the scrap metal container.

As a safety measure, you should double bag your knives before putting them in the container.

General rubbish

You can put unwanted kitchen knives in your general rubbish. They must be wrapped and taped in plastic, paper, card or bubble wrap to make sure the blade can't injure collectors

Knife amnesty bins

The charity Words 4 Weapons has set up knife amnesty bins across London. The bins let residents dispose of knives in a safe and confidential way. There are three bins in Wandsworth.
