Housing stock condition surveys

A stock condition survey is a visual inspection of our housing stock.

Conducted by qualified surveyors, it involves a systematic inspection of a building’s components, both internally (e.g. kitchen and bathroom) and externally (e.g. windows and roofs).

These surveys will assess the age and condition of the building’s components. Surveyors will take photographs of both internal and external building components.

Who completes the surveys

Pennington Choices Ltd will be carrying out the surveys on our behalf. They have experience in completing stock condition surveys for many housing providers throughout the UK.

A survey of your internal property can take up to 30 minutes. The surveyor will carry ID, which they will show on arrival.

Who needs the survey

Surveys will only be carried out in tenanted homes. Leaseholders do not need to have the survey.

Notifying you when your survey is due

You will receive a letter from Pennington Choices to let you know when your survey is due.
