Section 208 referrals

If you are from another local authority and need to place someone in temporary accommodation in Wandsworth, email your referral to section208@wandsworth.gov.uk.

Make a homelessness referral

Public authorities should refer service users they believe to be homeless or threatened with homelessness to us. Make a homelessness referral.

Local Authority approach check

For other Local Authority housing officers conducting enquiries under Part VII Housing Act 1996.

To request an approach check, email homelessprevention@wandsworth.gov.uk and include the following information: 

• Name of your local authority
• Your contact name
• Your direct telephone extension number
• Your direct work email address
• Applicant name
• Applicant date of birth
• Applicant address
• Any other details which may assist in the search
• Attach signed consent from applicant

Your request will be responded to within 10 working days.
