If you are homeless or worried about losing your home

If you are worried about losing your home, there is a lot of help available. There is often more you can do than you might think.

What is your current situation?

If your situation looks different

People face housing problems for all kinds of reasons. See other reasons you might be at risk.

Supporting someone else

If you’re an organisation supporting someone at risk of homelessness, we can work with you to make sure they get the right help.

If you are representing a public authority, you can refer service users to us or inform us about Section 208. See guidance for public authorities.

What we can and cannot do

The law sets the limits on what help we can provide.

We can give you advice, work with you to prevent homelessness and help you look for somewhere safe to live.

Everyone gets advice to help them find their own accommodation, but only some people qualify for emergency housing.

Temporary accommodation
