Let’s make Easter a little greener

Easter in Wandsworth is a great chance to enjoy family time – and chocolate – but is also a great opportunity to do something simple and positive for the planet.

We are encouraging families to recycle Easter cardboard and plastic packaging as part of our shared journey towards a cleaner, greener borough.
It’s all part of Wandsworth’s Cleaner Borough Plan, which is already delivering weekly bin collections, free Mega Skip Days, two free bulky waste collections a year for every household, cleaner high streets, and a new food waste recycling service.
“Easter is a special time for families—and it’s also a perfect moment to show children how we can care for our environment together,” said Judi Gasser, Cabinet Member for Environment.
“Whether it's recycling your Easter egg boxes or using our new food waste service, every action adds up. We’re proud of the work we’re doing to keep Wandsworth clean—from jet-washed high streets to free bulky waste collections—and we want to thank all the families who are helping us make a difference, one small step at a time.”
