These two men thought that they’d be protected under cover of darkness, but our CCTV cameras caught them illegally dumping a door, wood and a headboard on the side of the road in Battersea. They have since been issued with a £1,000 fine.
Leader of the Council, Simon Hogg, said “There is no excuse for fly tipping in Wandsworth, with two free bulky waste collections every year, and free mega skips available across the borough twice a month.
"Residents can get four large items or 12 sacks of waste collected for free - from white goods, mattresses, furniture to garden waste - direct from your front door.”
