Forward Plan

We publish a monthly Forward Plan setting out the executive 'key decisions' which are proposed to be made on behalf of the local authority over the months ahead.

The law requires notice to be given of these items looking 28 days ahead, but we seek to identify items over a longer period, up to 12 months ahead (the plan also lists some other proposed decisions not in the executive key decision category).

Contract for masterplanning and consultancy services

Notice made pursuant to s.10 The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (meetings and access to information) (England) regulations 2012. The following decision will not have had the requisite 28 days on the Forward Plan ahead of an SO83(A) decision being taken on behalf of the Executive:

Contract for masterplanning and consultancy services for the Alton estate, Roehampton.

Action

To approve an appointment for the provision of architectural and urban design services.

It was considered impracticable to defer this decision to enable 28 days’ notice of the decision to be taken on the Forward Plan as the Alton Renewal Plan was launched on 8th July 2024 and immediate progress will be necessary in developing the housing element following consideration at the Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 17th July 2024, and approval at the Executive on 22nd July 2024.

Contract for the provision of lift servicing and lift maintenance services  

Notice made pursuant to s.10 The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012.

The following decision (Exempt) will not have had the requisite 28 days on the Forward Plan ahead of an SO83(A) decision being taken on behalf of the Executive:

Subject:  Contract for the Provision of Lift Servicing and Lift Maintenance Services to Domestic Dwellings and Sheltered Accommodation at Various Properties Boroughwide in Wandsworth (Lot 1) and for Lift Maintenance Services for Wandsworth Operational Buildings (Lot 2).

Action:

  • Lot 1 - Servicing and Maintenance of Lifts Serving Domestic Dwellings: To approve the award of the above contract for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend for a period or periods up to a further four (4) years
  • Lot 2 - Lift Maintenance Services for Wandsworth Operational Buildings: To approve the award of the contract for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend for a period or periods up to a further four (4) years

It was considered impracticable to defer this decision to enable 28 days’ notice of the decision to be taken on the Forward Plan as there is a need to award this contract in order to ensure a continued service provision.

Key decisions

Key decisions are, broadly, those executive decisions likely to result in significant spending or savings, or likely to have a significant effect on people living or working in two or more wards in the borough.

About the plan

Where the plan gives the date of an Executive meeting, that body is due to make the decision. It will be supplied with reports via the relevant Overview and Scrutiny Committees and other committees; these reports will be published as they become available. Other documents may be submitted and again these will be posted here.
