Questions for the council leader: Simon Hogg meets Battersea residents

Council Leader Simon Hogg chatted to residents and answered questions alongside local ward councillors, MP for Battersea Marsha de Cordova and Chief Inspector Paul James from the Met Police.

Simon Hogg also encouraged people to tell the council what local changes they would like to see in their area. This is part of a drive to invest more funding collected from property developers back into neighbourhood improvements.

He said: “It’s great to be back in York Gardens Library, hearing from local families about what they think is going well and the changes they’d like to see.

"I promise we’re going to work hard with our local partners, including the police, to address the issues we’ve heard about and show real improvements for all our communities. This is all part of our commitment to be an open, listening council."

Councillor Kate Stock, Cabinet Member for Children, helped families with their questions on access to free school uniforms and support for special educational needs.
