Description

As an overview, the development will involve the transformation of the area behind 178-204 Stroud Crescent to provide new social housing, as well as the delivery of landscaping and environmental improvements.

The scheme will:

  • Provide 14 homes at Council rent within a 4-storey block as part of our borough-wide 1,000 homes programme, which will provide new homes across the borough, all prioritised for local residents and workers
  • Deliver improvements to the area including a bicycle storage facility, additional parking and a children’s play area

News

We have recently concluded a tender process to select the most appropriate delivery partner to progress designs to the next level of detail and work up a viable plan to safely construct the new homes. Kind & Company Ltd was the selected contractor, which is an organisation that is currently working on two other sites within the borough.

Over the next couple of months, Kind & Company will be carrying out a range of surveys and inspections that will inform production of detailed construction drawings and site set up, of which you may have noticed some initial activity on site. Before the actual construction works start, Kind & Co will be running a “Meet the Contractor” event in the near future.

We will continue to keep local people informed as the development progresses.

Following previous consultation and engagement sessions with residents and local stakeholders, planning consent has now been granted for the new development to the rear of 178-204 Stroud Crescent on the Putney Vale Estate.
